ACONBRAS 23 years: 1984-2007 |

| In 1984, four consuls in São Paulo - Mario Beni (General Consul of Malta), Italo Baggio (Adjunct Consul of Malta), Silvio Costa e Silva (General Consul of Monaco) and Rui Teixeira Mendes (General Consul of Honduras), got together to create an association that represented all the Consular Body of Brazil having the Italian Association of Consuls as a model, and founded the ACONBRAS - Consul Association in Brazil. |

| The ACONBRAS emerged to unite and aggregate the suitable actions to the consolidation of the rights and duties of the Consuls in Brazil and to demonstrate to the society what we are, who we are and what we serve for. Not only to increase the information to the society, but to give elements to it for the understanding of this international area. |

Objectives |
| |
The Aconbras – Consul Association in Brazil , has the following objectives: |
| |
- Increase the settlement among the Consuls in Brazil;
- Defend the prerogatives established at the Vienna Pact in 1963 and acknowledged by the Presidency of Republic through the Act 61.078 of July 26th of 1967;
- Promote initiatives of social, cultural and commercial characters, and;
- Diffuse among its members, information of any nature for the best performance of its functions.
