| On February 28th, ACONBRAS and the "Fundação Péter Muranyi" (Péter Muranyi Foundation) signed an agreement between both institutions, in order to promote the initiatives of the Foundation to the international community and contribute to the development of the people in need, in Brazil and in other countries. |

| CONBRAS - Associação dos Cônsules no Brasil (Association of Consuls in Brazil), now has the agreement with this respectable Foundation, created in honor of Consul Péter Murányi, by his wife and children. The Péter Muranyi Foundation grants an annual prize to the best work of discovery in scientific progress that benefits the populations located under Parallel 20, in the areas of health, food, education and scientific development. |

| The idea is publicizing the "Péter Muranyi Award" internationally, through the associates of ACONBRAS, the Consular and the Diplomatic Communities in Brazil, contacting other countries and encouraging them to participate of this important annual prize. From now on, the Péter Muranyi Foundation and ACONBRAS will exchange information about both institutions' activities, seeking greater interaction between them both. |

| Péter Murányi - Mr. Péter Murányi was a man of pioneer ideas. He came to Brazil when he was 24 years old, from Hungary, and founded his company, the Péter Muranyi Commercial and Industrial Enterprise. In 1949, Mr. Muranyi became a Brazilian citizen and, since then, conquered many extremely important Brazilian and International commendations and medals that proved his worth, such as the "Anchieta" medal, and the diploma "Gratidão da Cidade de São Paulo", the "Imperatriz Leopoldina", given by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the medal "Estrela da Legião de Honra da Transilvania ", from the World Federation of Transilvania (Erdélyi Világszövetség), for the bravery, dignity and favors in defense of the principles of National Determination and Human Rights and World Peace, based on Justice. |

| The main object of the Péter Muranyi Foundation is to promote, yearly, the award, assigned to a physical or legal person, private or public organism, anywhere in the world, which has distinguished itself by the discovery or scientific progress which will enhance the development and the welfare of the population situated below the parallel 20 latitude north, specially Brazil, whether in the field of health, food, instruction or scientific and technological development, according to the award rules. The other objects are to promote and sponsor any other activities which contribute to the main object, and to promote or sponsor any other cultural and assistance activities. |
