| Introduction |
| As hard as it is to describe Brasília, as natives we might say it has been quite amazing being born in such a unique metropolis. |
For many of us, Brasilia's modern design and strong sense of organization, combined with plenty of trees and the bluest sky, make the city special in more ways than one, giving us a standard of life that would otherwise be hard to achieve. However, for many others Brasília is quite difficult to grasp, as it has a new architectural and social logic.

| For instance, Brasília natives have a less traditional-Brazilian sense of community, giving its natives a more cosmopolitan outlook and more social independence (maybe because we’re too used to cars and not so used to crowds!). On the other hand, there are high expectations in the city and its inhabitants. |
Being born in a planned city created from a blend of religious, political and ideological factors, means being part of the creation of a culture within a culture.
The promise was the establishment of a beautiful modern city where people would have opportunity and motivation, side by side with the highest government powers. All kinds of people chased after that dream, and they made Brasilia’s reality so much bigger than that dream.

| In roughly 40 years, the city and its surroundings have developed centers for business, enterprises, entertainment, art, humanities and so much more.Once you understand the city there is nothing you cannot find nor anywhere you cannot go. |
| Traffic is easy, commerce and services are distributed in specific, easy-to-find sectors and you are also presented with the option of going to beautiful, nearby, recreational sites on the weekends, holidays or just on days off |
| The most special thing about Brasilia, however, is that living here you have the opportunity to experience the myriad cultural differences that are in Brazil. The city was formed by people from all Brazilian regions, and a mixture of their food and habits built the core of our identity. |
