Córrego Cupim Waterfalls

This area belongs to Catholic monks. The clear waters form 6 waterfalls, two wells and several natural pools. Visitations with reservations only (in Portuguese) through the number 500-0511.
Location: Area of Environmental Protection of Cafuringa
Access: Take the road DF 001 towards Brazlândia until crossing with DF 240. Take DF 240 towards Padre Bernardo, until reaching DF 220. Take DF 220 until you see signs indicating the right place.

Location: DF 410, Km 07 in front of the sign "TAQUARA"
Access: Take BR 020 until km 19, in the direction of Planaltina. When reaching DF 410, turn right on a dirt road for 7 km, until you reach the sign saying "Taquara". Continue until the entrance of the property. |

ESTAÇÃO ECOLÓGICA - ÁGUAS EMENDADAS

Access: Through BR-020, in the region of Planaltina, between roads DF 17 and DF13.

This is the most important natural reservation of the region. The water that comes from its springs forms several courses of water that end up in the Bacia Amazônica and Bacia do Prata. It includes "Lagoa Bonita", the only natural lagoon from DF, whose edges are a shelter for the local animals. The fauna and flora of the region are preserved there. This area is dedicated to research, but it has a visitor's center. It is necessary to have SEMATEC permission for visitation. |

| Crystal clean water gives place to beautiful tracks where you can appreciate the local vegetation. The main waterfall has 18 meters. Rappel is not allowed. |

Location: DF 140 km 05
Access: Take QI 23 do Lago Sul, towards Unai. At the intersection, take DF-140 and continue for 5 km. Turn right on a dirt road for another 2 km.
Time: The park is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 8h to 18h.

CACHOEIRA E GRUTA DO RIO DO SAL
(Waterfall and grotto "Rio do Sal")

| The waterfalls vary from 6 to 12 meters, forming natural pools. The grotto has several galleries and rooms covered with stalactites and stalagmites of different colors. There is also a room 15-meters wide and 30-meters deep. |

Location: DF 002 Km-19, 68 km away from Plano Piloto.
Access: Saída Norte (BR-020), until "balão do Colorado" (Colorado roundabout). There you should follow DF 001 until you find DF 170. Take DF 170 and then DF 205 until you find the sign to the right that says "Fazenda Babilônia".

CACHOEIRA DE SAIA VELHA

| The area is rich is vegetation and courses of water, with several waterfalls, natural pools and a five-meter well for dipping. The waterfall is open to the public and offers good infrastructure for tourism. |

Access: Take BR-040 and turn left around Km 05, at the Monument "Solarium". Take the dirt road for 6 km.
