Carnival at the embassy of germany

Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy, Mr. Hermann Sausen, seen here with his wife, Mrs. Gabriele L. H. Sausen.

As in the previous years, the Embassy of Germany celebrated on February 09 2010 a great carnival ball (3º Grito Internacional de Carnaval) with hundreds of guests from the diplomatic corps, Brazilian government and members of Brasilia’s society.

Hundreds of guests enjoyed a great carnival ball.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy, Mr. Hermann Sausen, was the host of  what is being considered the opening event of Carnival in Brasilia. The lucky guests of the party enjoyed many carnival presentations, as the traditional drums of the Bahia state; the “frevo” rhythm from the state of Pernanbuco and the famous “marchinhas de carnival (traditional carnival short verse songs), presented by the famous “Bloco Pacotão”, a carnival group very famous in Brasília. The samba singer Dih Ribeiro was also a great party attraction and traditional characters of the Brazilian carnival parades were also present at the event, such as the “Rei Momo” (King Momo) and the famous brunettes samba dancers.

The guests enjoyed all Brazilian Carnival rhythms .

Many guests were wearing customs and the election of the best female and male costume was a great moment of the fun party.

Great costumes at the event!

Everybody danced until the first hours of the dawn and all German diplomats were very greeted by the guests for the great success of the ball.

THE GUIDE congratulates the German Embassy for the great carnival event!
