Dozens of guests could appreciate on September 29th of 2006, the celebration of the National Day of China. The hosts, Ambassador Chen Duqing and his wife, Mrs. Hu Fengxian received everyone for a pleasant celebration.

The halls of the embassy were taken by many personalities from the Diplomatic Corps, among them ambassadors and military, besides the businessmen, journalists, members of the Brazilian government and even representatives from the Chinese community in Brasilia.

The drum playing, that surprised everyone, called the guests to the outside area, at the main entrance of the embassy. A beautiful display of the Chinese culture was shown there, which had characteristic characters, two Kung-Fu fighters, besides the drums and cymbals.

After the presentation the ambassador invited everyone to the halls where the buffets were found with typical Chinese food, such as fried rice, chicken, shrimp, fish, and vegetables among other specialties from the western cuisine.

During the event the guests could get to know a little bit more about the Chinese culture and arts through paintings and decor objects, besides the big panel that could be found at the main entrance of the embassy. Gifts were given to the guests, such as arrays with images from China and also books with pictures from landscapes, cities and Chinese grotto.
