The Ambassador of the Equatorial Guinea, Mr. Teodoro Biyugo Nsue Okomo along with his wife Mrs. Elena Mensa and other diplomats from their country welcomed dozens of guests on October 11th of 2006 for the celebrations of the National Day of his country.

The celebration took place at the hall of the Embassy of the Equatorial Guinea that was recently opened in Brasilia and had a pleasant atmosphere that contributed for the celebration to become even more joyful.
An environment taken by the happiness and casualness of the guests.


Mrs. Ana Rosa, Secretary of Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea was also responsable for the event organization.

The ambassadors of many countries were at the event, along with Attachés and other members of the Diplomatic Corps residing in Brasilia. The other present people were members of the Afro-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, businessmen and representatives from the Equatorial Guinea in Brazil.

After the guests arrival, the ceremony was started, in which the national anthem of Brazil was played, followed by the national anthem of Equatorial Guinea. Soon after, the Ambassador, Mr. Teodoro Biyugo Nsue gave a speech presenting many aspects of his country.

The guests enjoyed during the event a cocktail accompanied by Brazilian and imported wines and later they could even have a piece of the cake that had the flag of Equatorial Guinea stamped on it.
