| Hundreds of people were present in the event, which happened on the gardens of the official residence. Among the guests, there were ambassadors, diplomats, authorities from the Brazilian federal government, businessmen, personalities from Brasilia's society and members from the Uruguayan community in Brazil. |

| Right after the ambassador finished saying his words, the guests could watch a presentation from the "La Tríada" group, which presented the "Murga Drum", folk Uruguayan dancing performed by artists from Uruguay exclusively for that celebration. The happiness and rhythm of the presentation cheered everybody up, showing that Uruguay has popular parties as engaging as the Brazilian carnival. |
