The Embassy of Vietnam celebrated its National Day on September 5th of 2006. The recently arrived ambassador from that country, Mr. Nguyen Tach Dinh, welcomed the guests with his wife, Mrs. Tran Thi Lien. The Vietnamese counselor, Mr. Vu Thanh Nam and Colonel Tuan, Military Attaché were also greeted by the guests.

The co fraternization dinner happened at the Clube Naval de Brasília (Naval Club), on the Setor de Clubes Sul of Brasília, and dozens of ambassadors, diplomats, Brazilian authorities, businessmen and Brasilia society’s members were present at the event.

The celebration started with the anthems of Brazil and Vietnam being played, followed by the ambassador's speech that was translated to Portuguese by the Vietnamese counselor, Mr. Vu Thanh Nam. After that, the ambassador proposed a toast.

The guests could taste canapés and enjoy Brazilian and imported wines, served in the social hall of the club, where they also appreciated the beautiful view of Lake Paranoá. After the ambassador’s speech, everyone was invited to a delicious dinner with typical dishes from Vietnam, followed by delicious desserts.
The guests enjoyed the Vietnamese cuisine.


The mood of joy was steady.
