The African Embassies celebrated the Africa Day on May 25th. |

The Africa Day 2010 was celebrated on May 25th, occasion in which the African Embassies organized a big party at the Clube da Aeronáutica (Air Force Club), located in Sector Club North of Brasilia.

| The event this year had as theme Building and Maintaining Peace through Sports in Africa and was attended by hundreds of guests, including ambassadors, diplomats, government officials and personalities of the Society of Brasilia. All guests greeted the African Ambassadors for the passage of this important date. |

| After the arrival of the guests, the anthems of Brazil and the African Union were played, followed by remarks by the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, Mr. Thomas S. Bvuma, Ambassador of Zimbabwe. Then he and the Guest of honor cutted the Africa Day cake, a beautiful celebration cake made for the event. |

| The pleasant night became even better with a fashion parade with beautiful African clothes, much applauded by all guests. After the parade all guests were invited to dance under African rhythms. Everybody enjoyed the great celebration until the first hours of the dawn. |
