The Embassy of Fiji was officially opened on September 29, 2011, when the country's Prime Minister, Commodore Ratu Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, the ambassador of Fiji, Mr. Cama Tuiqilqila Tuiloma and the First Secretary of the Embassy of Fiji, Mr. Simione Durutalo Rokolaqa, received guests at the hotel Golden Tulip Brasilia Alvorada for the opening ceremony.

| The event was attended by officials of the Brazilian Government, ambassadors, diplomats, businessmen and members of the society of Brasilia. A beautiful plate for the opening was inaugurated at the ceremony and after that all guests were invited to a celebration cocktail where art crafts of Fiji were displayed. The guests were also able to taste typical delicacies from that beautiful country. |
