NATIONAL DAY >> The Embassy of Angola celebrates its National Day

The Embassy of Angola celebrated its National Day on Friday, November 11th, 2005, offering to the Diplomatic Corps a festive dinner at Clube Naval de Brasília.

Dozen of guests were present at the event, and they were warmly held by the Ambassador of that country, Mr. Alberto Correia Neto and his wife, Mrs. Maria Paula dos Anjos Feijó Correia.

The guests joined the previous cocktail.
Brazilian and foreigners diplomats, authorities of Brazilian Federal Government and personalities of Society of Brasilia crowded the halls of Clube Naval. All the guests were welcomed by the Ambassador Alberto Correia Neto, who made a short speech to the guests, in which he told about the actual moment of reconstruction of Angola and the progress made after so many years of conflicts. After the speech, the Brazilian and Angolan Anthems were performed.
Mr. Senén Conejeros, President of Associação dos Diplomatas -ASDIBRA and Counselor of the Embassy of Chile, his wife, Mrs. Karen Lattapiat de Conejeros, and Mr. Thierry Edgard Messi, Counselor of the Embassy of Cameroon and President of the Grupo das Embaixadas Africanas.
Many Militar Attachés were present at the event.

A delicious dinner was served to the guests, who can fraternize tasting dishes that include the traditional Angolan food.
Everybody could taste the traditional Angolan food.
All guests were received at the hall of events of the Clube Naval.
The event promoted the co fraternization among the Diplomatic Corps.

At the end of the dinner, Mr. Alberto Correia Neto announced the artistic entertainment of the night: a show with an Angolan musical group, which came to Brazil especially for that celebration. So, everybody was presented with high quality music and exciting rhythms, which lead many guests to dance happily on the hall of Clube Naval.
After dinner, the guests had fun with presentation of the Angolan group, which came exclusively to the event.

The party lasted until the first hours after midnight, in an event that, indubitably, was one of the most animated of the Diplomatic Sector of Brasília.
