The embassy of Indonesia celebrated its national day on August 17th of 2007, when the ambassador of that country, Mr. Bali Moniaga, received hundreds of guests for a dinner at the official residence, at Setor de Embaixadas Sul in Brasilia.

A beautiful work of art from Indonesia was appreciated at the entrance of the official residence.

After a pleasant reception from the ambassador, his wife and diplomats from Indonesia, the guests were leaded to the social halls of the residence and to verandahs, were a lively fraternization cocktail took place.

Among the hundreds of presents, there were ambassadors, authorities from the Brazilian government, diplomats, businessmen, intellectuals and personalities of Brasilia’s society. All the guests got together at the main hall of the residence to listen to the ambassador’s welcoming speech, which emphasized the importance and the growth of the relations between Indonesia and Brazil. His speech was very applauded by everyone.

Confirming the sympathy of the Indonesian people, after his speech, the ambassador announced a draw of craftwork objects form Indonesia. The happiness of the guests who won the draw was obvious due to the beautiful objects that translated the culture of that beautiful country.

Making the celebration of that national day even more festive and beautiful, the guests appreciated the presentation of typical dances of Indonesia, performed by three young dancers.

After the dance presentation, the guests were invited to go to the dinner hall of the residence, where a complete buffet with typical dishes from Indonesia was served to all.
