The Japanese Embassy in Brasília celebrated the Emperor's Birthday on December 7, 2005. The Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Takahiko Horimura, was very complimented by hundreds of guests.

Dozens of authorities crowded the halls of the official residence.
Diplomats and Military Attachés, authorities of Brazilian Federal Government, businessmen and personalities of the Society of Brasília, were present at the event, which took place at the official residence of the Ambassador. Also, many members of the Japanese Community residents in Brasília joined the celebration.

The Embassy set up a special structure to receive all guests in the halls of events and also in the gardens of the residence.

The Ambassador Takahiko Horimura delivered a short speech highlighting the good relationship among his country and Brazil. At the end of the speech, the Military Band of Distrito Federal performed both Brazilian and Japanese National Anthems.

After, all guests were invited to taste a delicious Japanese dinner, served at the hall of events, where they could taste the many amazing dishes and desserts, very typical in Japan.
