| On April 12, 2005 , the Embassy of Namibia celebrated its National Day at Clube Naval. The celebration began with a cocktail, followed by the National Anthems of Brazil and Namibia and the pronunciation of the Ambassador, Mr. Patrick Nandago. |

| Diplomats and Brazilian governmental authorities were present at the celebration of the Namibian National Day, only the second official National Day in Brazil, considering the fact that Namibia recently established an embassy here in Brasília. |

| The Ambassador greeted the guests and talked about the importance of celebrating Namibia's 15th anniversary right when Namibia enters new times after President Sam Nujoma stepped down to President Hifikepunye Pohamba, also from the ruling Swapo party, who will continue President Nujoma's and maintain policies which have given Namibia's 1.9 million people political and economic stability. The Ambassador also mentioned the successful relations between Namibia and Brazil. At the end of his speech the Ambassador proposed a toast to celebrate a new era for the two countries and thanked the presence of all. |

| The dinner was praised by all the guests and the reception was a great success. Those who were present had a wonderful time and certainly left impressed by the gentleness of the members of the Embassy and the remarkable features of the country, displayed in video on a big screen, not to mention the craftwork, typical of the people of Namibia. |
