They are oil on canvas, drawings, photographs and graving work by artists such as Vieira da Silva, Almada Negreiros, Hogan and Paula Rego, icons of the contemporary Portuguese arts. |

| The reception had hundreds of guests, who enjoyed the “Fado” and other typical Portuguese musical styles and a very special buffet of cold cuts, accompanied by the renowned Portuguese wine, famous all over the world for its reputation based on the fortified wines of Port. But Portugal also produces a few excellent table wines with an eclectic mix of grape varieties, such as “Periquita”, served at the reception. |

| The charisma of the Portuguese people was certainly evident in the person of the Ambassador Francisco Seixas da Costa and all the Portuguese diplomats of the Embassy, who hosted the guests with extreme kindness and cordiality. |
