| Dozens of guests, among diplomats, militaries, politicians and members of the society of Brasília were at the event. Under the spotlight, Minister of International Affairs of South Africa, Mrs. Lindiwe Zulu, who came to Brazil on the week of the event, for an official visit. |

| The atmosphere in the hall of Clube do Exército was of joy and co fraternization. The place was beautifully decorated and the dinner table had wonderful floral arrangements and a little South African flag. The Military Attaché of the South African Embassy, Col J.D. van der Westhuzian, thanked the presence of all and invited all those who were present to sit at the tables in the hall. Each guest received a commemorative pin which symbolized the good relations to beween Brazil and South Africa. |

| During the event, the Brazilian Armed Forces band played the Brazilian and South African anthems. Later, a film regarding South Africa, its people and its development, very much praised by everybody. |

| The Ambassador of South África, Mrs. Lindiwe Zulu, gave a speech to the guests. Her words expressed the historic moment of her country, which develops through the union of all races, respecting culture, beliefs and diverse religions. In the end of her speech, the Ambassador thanked all the guests for coming to the reception and proposed a toast in honor of the national day of her country and the growing union with Brazil. Everyone applauded the ambassador and celebrated with happiness. |
