The Ambassador of Ukraine in Brazil, Mr. Volodymyr Lákomov and his wife, Mrs. Olha Lákomova, along with diplomats, military attachés and members of the embassy, welcomed dozens of guests for the celebration of the 16th Independence anniversary of that country. The special dinner to pay homage for its National Day took place at the Porto Vitória space for events, on August 22nd of 2007. |

The guests were welcomed in a pleasant and classy environment, displaying a nice decoration with tables with flowers, lights and Ukrainian flags. A picture panel was also set up at the events hall, with images that portray the history and the landscapes of Ukraine. |

After the guests arrival, the national anthems of Brazil and Ukraine were played, after that, the ambassador Volodymyr Lákomov gave a speech highlighting the importance of that date for Ukraine. He also emphasized the relations between his country and Brazil and at the end of his speech, he invited everyone to enjoy the delicious typical dishes from the Ukrainian cuisine. |
