Novena is a religious meeting for prayers, which takes place during nine days, that's the reason why the word is novena. It is a Catholic tradition, caused due to the devotion to a certain saint. Between Jesus ascenssion for heaven and the descent of the Holy Spirit, its was passed nine days. Allegorically, the novena takes place before everything it is a praise act to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, the Trinity of God. Three is a perfect number.Three times equals nine. The Novena is perfect praise to the Trinity. The practice of nine days prayer, praise and plea confirms the extraordinary way of faith in God who saves through Jesus, Mary and the Saints. |
