Another ASEAN (Asian Southeast Nations Association) anniversary was celebrated on August 9th of 2006. In its 39th year, the celebration took place at the Official Residence of Indonesian embassy. |

| Indonesia , Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and the Philippines were the six countries that were the head of the event that took in dozens of guests, having among them ambassadors, diplomats, Brazilian authorities besides representatives from Brasilia and Asian community. |

| After the reception from the six ambassadors at the entrance of the house's main hall, the guests were taken to the countries stands, where they could learn a little about the regional culture. Many objects that were symbols of the culture, books, maps and representatives from each country, dressed with typical clothes could be found at the event. |

| The Anniversary was celebrated with a Gastronomical Festival, in which many typical dishes from the host countries were served, accompanied by imported wines besides the typical desserts from theses countries. |
