On May 25, 2005, Ambassador Josef Sookore opened the doors of his residence to the celebration of the African Liberation Day.
The banquet had dishes from several African countries.
The Ambassadors and their spouses sat together to enjoy dinner.
The party was organized by all the African embassies together, each one being responsible for taking a typical dish from their countries and bringing together the African citizens living in Brasília.

Africa Day was established by a resolution of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) on the day of the OAU's constitution on 25 May 1963 in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia . It is commemorated by many countries in Africa to celebrate the hard-fought achievement of their freedom. But at Ambassador Egbuson's residence, in an atmosphere of total relaxation, the ambassadors anjoyed this easy evening in the company of their friends and family.

The delightful evning had the DJ playing songs from Africa all night long and the guests couldn't sit still. The dance was always full.
The DJs played African songs with the exciting rhythm and the contagious beat, that made the guests dance the entire evening.
The party was nothing but fun and co fraternization among different peoples of Mother Africa.
