other events >> THE AMBASSADOR'S WIFE GROUP has a NEW DIRECTION board
The Ambassador's Wife Group is under new Presidency, Vice-Presidency and Board of Directors since the last month of April.
The new President of the Group of Ambassatresses is Mrs. Mary Beatriz Ayala de González (right), Ambassatress of Paraguay and the new Vice-President is Mrs. Mariela Gilet Mogan, Ambassadress of Uruguay.
The group will have, for the next 12 months, the ambassadress from Paraguay, Mrs. Mary Beatriz Ayala de González as President and the Ambassadress of Uruguay Mrs. Mariela Gilet Mogan as Vice President. The new Directors Group is now composed by Mrs. Nadia Awad Mahmoud El Rais from Egypt, Mrs. Alexandra von Kunow from Germany, Mrs. Tsitsi Bvuma from Zimbabwe, Mrs. Christine Ballegeer from Belgium, Mrs. Ana Josefina Cumare de Garcia from Venezuela, Mrs. Johanna F. Hulleman from Netherlands and Mrs. Zainab Ismail from Malaysia.
The new Board of directors will rule the Group for the next 12 months.
The Ambassador's Wife Group promotes several events of social assistance to Brazilian poor entities. According to Mrs. Gozález, the assistance work will not only continue, but also new initiatives will be taken in order to achieve more assisted entities.
During the last 12 month, the Group did many donations under the presidency of Mrs. Rosa Maria de Losano, ambassadress of Honduras.


On May 16th, 2006, the group gathered at the Swiss Ambassador's residence, where the Swiss Ambassadress Mrs. Beatrice Baerfuss received representatives of "Grupo Vida e Juventude" (Life and Youth Group) to present the work done to poor youngsters from the Brasília satelites cities of Samambaia, Ceilândia and Santa Maria. The Group Vida e Juventude is also on assistance of other groups that need help to the process of formation of social assistance programs.

The ambassadresses could enjoy a music presentation performed by two youngsters who were helped by the Group Vida e Juventude and today have a new live perspective. Their presentation was very applauded by the present ambassadresses.

After the presentation, everyone listened to the explanation of Mrs. Maria Silva, Finance Director of the Group Vida e Juventude, about the promotion and the success achieved with the project with the thousands of poor youngsters of the neighbor zones of Brasília. Her explanation was translated into English by Mrs. Magda, who took part of the encounter of the group Vida e Juventude with the Ambassador's Wife Group. Another member of the Vida e Juventude Group management was Mr. Luiz Lopes, who represents the group at the office at the business center CONIC, next to Setor Comercial Sul in Brasília.






The Ambassador's Wife Group thanked the visit of Vida e Juventude Group and made a donation for the development of the work which find 5 thousand youngsters in Brasília satelite cities. Mrs. Maria Silva thanked in name of all members of her group and promised to work more and more seeking the change of the difficult reality of poor youngsters.



The next event to happen by the Ambassador's Wife Group is a big dancing party, with sampling of typical food from many countries. The event will take place on the next June 2nd 2006 at 7:00pm. To learn more about this party, Click Here.
