A portrait of a vacation ranch run by a typical Bolivian family is the departure point of the story. It takes place in Bolivia during the previous months to the National Revolution of April 1952. The description of that period in time is keen and the author reconstructs the way of thinking and living of the families back then.
The novel “La mascara de Artemisa”.
The novel approaches the sociological aspect of the history of Bolivia, through fictitious and real characters, connecting the human relations of the story, usually absent in History books. The novel is, in many ways, a testimonial even though it has been written 50 years after the Revolution, refreshing the memory and reminding the reader of the life and the way of thinking of those who made the official History books pages.
