| The "Grupo Amigas do Brasil" (Group Friends of Brazil), formed by Brazilian and ladies from abroad, wives of diplomats and employees of embassies and International Organizations held their last meeting of 2004 on December 8th. |

| The meeting occurred in the residence of Mrs. Patrícia Odalia Tarigo Bonizzoni, wife of the Minister of the Embassy of Uruguay, Mr. Julio Aguiar Carrasco. During the event, a homage was paid to the President and founder of "Amigas do Brasil", Mrs. Aída de Vidaurre, wife of the Minister Counsellor of the Bolivian Embassy Mr. Both ladies will be leaving Brazil and returning to their country in January of 2005 and the emotion was evident among the participants of the meeting. |

| The event was an opportunity to trade Christmas presents and to co fraternize. |

| The meeting of December 8th was closed with a fashion show made by the women's clothes boutique "Maria Jô", which presented beautiful outfits for various occasions. The elegant clothes presented by the beautiful models of the boutique deserved the applauses of the members who approved of the design and complimented the good taste of "Maria Jô". |

| On Thursday, December 16th, the group donated food and presents to "Casa do Menino Jesus", in Gama. The happiness and gratitude was constant among the children and the ladies responsible for the institution. The group "Amigas do Brasil" promotes work of social assistance in Brazil since it first was created, in the beginning of the year of 2003 and seeks new members. |
