Good health and well-being were, definitely, the Idea of the celebrations of the anniversary of the capital. Early in the morning, adepts and curious people joined Master Moo-Shong Woo, 73 years old and his son Aristein Woo, 35, with harmonious and gentle moves. The Express – Tai Chi Chuan course in one of the most important, but also one of the nicest touristic attractions in Brasília, was promoted by the “Sociedade Brasileira de Eubiose” and the “Associação Cultural Brasil – China” and included self-massages, presentations of several martial arts, swords and others.

Walking, riding the bicycle, playing sports. About 80,000 people gathered in “Eixão”, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to enjoy the perfect weather and several attractions prepared by SESI, SESC and “Rede Globo”: dance groups presentations, musical bands, movies and theater plays, besides photo exhibitions, painting and sculptures.
At 10:00 a.m. , 2,5 thousand bikers got together to ride to the JK Bridge, and back, with a lot of music, in a way of 18km.
The City Park was also lots of fun! But there, the children had the show. Hundreds of children enjoyed a special programme at “Quiosque do Atleta”, traditional spot for the athletes in the Park. The children had their faces painted, watched the theater group Mapati perform an adaptation of the classic “The Wizard of Oz” and played as they wanted.

There is no other spectacle in Brasília greater and more amazing than the beautiful Lake Paranoá reflecting the sunshine, crowded with sales and people at the shores, enjoying the wind, the sun, the water and each other. Fifty boats participated of the race to commemorate the 45 th anniversary of Brasília, a little after 11:00 a.m. The event happened at Cota Mil club and “Nau Caleuche” was the great winner, receiving the trophee “Fita Azul”, for the best time of the day. Marco Aurélio da Silva, Rivan Ferrão, Márcio Grilo, and Luiz Carlos Ritter went up um place comparing to the same race in 2004, when they conquered the second place, and rejoyced with the victory. They are, now, the best ranked ship in “Fórmula Brasília”.

The “Queen of Axé”, Daniela Mercury, performed a show for over 50,000 people at “Esplanada dos Ministérios”. In the repertoire, Daniela Mercury sang her greatest hits, successes from other artists and famous bands of axé and, in the end of the show, hosted Dinho, singer of “Capital Inicial”, one of the greatest pop, rock bands in Brazil, that is a local treasure, gaining national projection in the 80's, together with “Legião Urbana”, “Paralama dos Sucessos” and other great bands. The show is part of the project “ Carnaval Eletrônico” – Pão Music, promoted by the supermarket Pão de Açúcar. Carmen Manfredini, sister of Renato Russo, singer of “Legião Urbana” who died of Aids in the middle 90's and is considered one of the greatest musicians of the rock music in Brazil , also came on stage and sang with Dinho and Daniela Mercury, some great hits of “Legião Urbana”.
