But it actually comes with greater responsibility and I will dedicate even more of my efforts to bring closer this mutual, synergetic relationship between the two countries not only in commerce but also in the cultural area”.
Consul Huyer told a little more about his work and life to THE GUIDE.
When asked about his trajectory, Consul Huyer revealed how crucial his participation in the foreign affairs was for Brazil. “I was inspired by the Dr. Alvaro Franco, Director of CASEX, the agency of Imports and Exports of the Foreign Ministry in the 60’s, the creator of the slogan ‘Exportar é o caminho’ (to export is the way), when the Brazilian export aliquot was zero. Then, invited by Dr. Franco, I dealt the first 500 pairs of Brazilian women’s shoes ever sold to another country, to Liberia back in 1965”, said Consul Huyer. This deal meant the creation of “Intertrade Group”, which 40 years later is the leader in fertilizers in Brazil and one of the greatest in the world. And since then he never stopped to work to reinforce these trading.
Intertrade Group
Consul Huyer also told THE GUIDE a little more about “Intertrade Group”.
“Since 1965, Intertrade knows that for achieving the trust of fertilizer clients and suppliers it needs much more than only solid professional expertise and consistent performance. It is necessary to go further. Therefore we choose always to innovate. Acting this way we established during the past 30 years, since 1974, a common ground of pioneering business association with Tunisia’s fertilizers sector. Starting 1990 with Tunisia’s support, Intertrade developed and successfully introduced in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina a new concept of direct application to soil of “unground” natural reactive phosphate rocks, in particular with the pioneering “Gafsa Hyperphosphate”. Skilful and solid expertise also characterizes Intertrade’s always innovative and reliable international trading strategies and shipping operations”.
THE GUIDE congratulates the Consul Heinz Huyer for this wonderful achievement.
