| This year, the Péter Murányi Award has the theme: " Health focused on Human Wellness" and the winner was Professor Dr. Luiz Hildebrando Pereira da Silva, who presented the work "Researches and Innovation in Alternative Methods for Malaria Control". | The Péter Murányi Award was created by the investor and Consul of the Dominican Republic , Mr. Péter Murányi, who died in 1999. With a strong strategic thinking, Mr. Péter Murányi left, in his will, the directions to create the foundation, of which his daughter, Mrs. Zilda Vera Suelotto Murányi Kiss, is the President currently, his son, Mr. Péter Murányi Jr., the Vice President and his widow, Mrs. Zilda Suelotto Muranyi, Counsellor. |

| The guests, formed by businessmen, members of the Cosular Body, intellectuals, and important persons of São Paulo society, filled the halls of entrance at Espaço Rosa Rosarum, where a cocktail was served in a pleasant and glad environment. Everyone could learn about the history of Péter Murányi Foundation presented in banners exhibited in the hall, where also, the past years awards were mentioned. |

| After the guest's arrival, the hosts invited the group to the dinner hall, where the Award ceremony would take place. The ambiance was wonderfully decorated and large displays showed images of the ceremony. The guests could watch a film presenting the work of this year's winner. |

| When the ceremony began, the President of Péter Murányi Foundation, Mrs,. Zilda Vera Suelotto Murányi Kiss, thanked everyone for having come and gave a quick speech about the Foundation, which has as mission recognize and award openly the most outstanding works of researchers and scientists from everywhere in the world, who identified by the innovation, have transformed the reality and improved the quality of life of the population situated below parallel 20 latitude north. |

| Next, Mrs Zilda Vera Suelotto Murányi Kiss announced Professor Dr. Luiz Hildebrando Pereira da Silva as the winner of the Péter Murányi Award 2006 and invited the Governor of São Paulo State, Mr. Cláudio Lembo, to give the award to Dr. Hidebrando. The professor received the award joyfully and thanked the Péter Murányi for the initiative in favor of the welfare of the humanity. |

| The event had also a speech from the Director of São Paulo University - USP, Mrs. Suely-Vilela, which announced the theme form Péter Murányi Award 2007: Scientific and Technological Development focused on Renewable Energy. The Governor of São Paulo closed the solemnity with a speech that stressed the importance of the recognition for those who dedicate their whole life on works, researches and actions designated to the common welfare. A long applause came right after he finished. The President of THE GUIDE Business Consultancy, Mr. Pedro Paulo Moreira, greeted the Governor and praised his speech and presence on that important event. |
