The Diplomatic Sector had a true tropical evening on March 16th of 2007. It was the "Tropical Evening Carmem Miranda Style" party (Noite Tropical à la Carmem Miranda), promoted by the Ambassadress Group, International Club and the Clube das Nações.

The party was sponsored by the companies Banco Sudameris, CHUBB Seguros and BMW do Brasil, which took two nice vehicles to be displayed during the event. Many companies also made prize donations for drawings, among them the Clinica de Terapias Naturais Chen Li (Natural Therapies); the POSITIVE Idiomas language course, the Artchê clothing store, the Tribo das Artes dancing course, the Rita Trindade Odontological Institute and the Sofitel Hotel in São Paulo.

This great party took place on the social hall and outside areas of the Clube das Nações. The guests were thrown back to the beach mood through the tropical decoration which included coconut trees, banana trees and even a small beach. Without any doubt, the tropical costumes "Carmem Miranda style" presented by the guests on the event were on the highlights of the party. It was impossible to describe the best costume and the unanimity of the event was the enormous joyfulness present in every ambiance.
A small beach was made for the event.

Among hundreds of guests, there were ambassadors, ministers from the judiciary power of Brazil, businessmen and personalities from Brasilia's society. Everyone danced to cheerful rhythms that included flash backs, Caribbean music and even carnival songs. The dance floor was another big attraction, because it was set up with tropical decoration next to the club's lawn.

The dance floor was a big attraction.
During the party, the Chancellor Celson Amorin's wife, Mrs. Ana Maria Amorin, was congratulated by the passage of her birthday. The guests also participated on many prized drawings, which had as prizes clothes, art objects, beauty treatments and even free foreign language and dance courses.

Presidents of the Group of Ambassadresses and International club thanked the sponsors and promoted the prize drawings.


Mrs. Flaviane Cascone, Sales Executive of the Sofitel Hotel in São Paulo, gave a special prize: a free weekend at her hotel.


Mrs. Lisiane Bittencourt was also one of the lucky winners.


The prizes included works of art and free dance and foreign language courses.
The guests had a lot of fun on a joyful mood until the first hours of dawn.
