| The Embassy of Russia conquered the 2nd Volleyball Tournament of ASDIBRA and was consecrated unanimous champion of the tournament in 2004. The Embassy had already achieved an impressive campaign in the last edition of the tournament in the month of February. In February, the Embassy of Russia classified to the finals with two games, getting the first and second places. This time, the Embassy participated with two teams as well, but gave the opportunity for the children of the diplomats to participate, forming a team that in spite of a good performance, couldn't get into the finals. |

| The Embassy of Russia is great champion of the 2nd Volleyball Tournament of ASDIBRA which took place on November 13th at Clube Naval. UNESCO got the Second place and BRASIF got the third. The event was, again, an opportunity of co fraternization between the Embassies and international organizations. |

| The second place was conquered by UNESCO, that also participated with two teams and almost was the champion. One of the teams of UNESCO played the final match against Russia and was leading by two sets, until the team of Russia imposed a recovering rhythm which resulted in a sensational overturn. The game was full of spectacular plays and both teams really put themselves into it. |

| UNESCO faced Russia in the final match and, in a memorable match, led the game most of the times and almost closed it several times, until Russia finally ended it. Nevertheless, the team was sastisfied and happy for the accomplishment, 1 step higher then in the last tournament. |

| The team of BRASIF had also participated of tournament in February but did not classify as one of the finalists then. This time, the challenge was to win third place against the second team of UNESCO and they took it seriously. The dispute was harsh, with a lot of great plays from both sides and the score tight from the beginning until the end, giving BRASIF all reason to celebrate a lot. |

| The 2nd Volleyball Tournament of ASDIBRA was sponsored by SMAFF Chevrolet, which took two managers of the special Sales division to publicize their latest plan (the foreign diplomat buys a brand new vehicle and after twelve months they can change it for another brand new one with no additional costs). For the manager Rodolfo de Azevedo Paredes it is important to be sponsoring the tournament because it is na opportunity to interact in the Diplomatic Community. "We take the opportunity to talk to the diplomats and to get to know their needs becoming more prepared to provide the best services", said Azevedo. CONFIANÇA Mudanças e Transportes is the long term partner of ASDIBRA and is present at all of ASDIBRA'S sportive events. In the opinion of Donizete Moreira, Brasília Manager, participating in the events is a way to introduce the company to the Diplomatic Community. CONFIANÇA is one of the largest moving companies in the country and has worked for more than twenty years making international moving for Itamaraty, embassies and companies. BRASIF, just like SMAFF and CONFIANÇA, also sponsored the tournament. The company is already known by the Diplomatic Community for it offers imported products. For the executive Cristiano Seixas, it is worth to sponsor this kind of events. "We have been serving the Diplomatic Community for many years and it is good to interact with them in the sportive events too. |

| For this tournament, we have brought a few souvenirs to be drawn among the participants", he informed. The third place was enthusiastically celebrated by the team of BRASIF. |

| he Embassy of Honduras was also important at the tournament. The Embassy team was present at the tournament on time, but in the last minute they needed a woman player to compose the team (all the teams should have at least one woman playing). The player Tayany Delany, who had come just to watch her brother play in the team of BRASIF, saved the day. The team of the Embassy of Honduras was exremely grateful to Tayany, who helped the team a lot. When asked about what she thought of the tournament, she stated: "I think it was great to participate of the tournament. Today is my birthday and it was a real gift to be invited to join the team of Honduras . We didn't make it to the finals, but participating is what really is important. I will start playing and I hope to play in the next events of this sort". |

| The matches started at 9:00 p.m. and the tournament was a success mostly for the interaction of the participating teams. The President of ASDIBRA Sr. Senén Conejeros, Counselor of the Embassy of Chile honored the event and was satisfied with the success of the tournament. "I cheered for the co fraternization among the participating teams and it makes me extremely glad that we have achieved this goal. I thank the directors of Clube Naval for always supporting our sportive events". Mr. Pedro Paulo Moreira, Administrative Director of ASDIBRA was one of the organizers of the tournament and was also satisfied with the results. "In February we promoted the 1st Tournament under heavy rain and it got a little in the way. This time the sun was present all day long and the day couldn't be better. I am sorry for the absence of some teams due to the holiday, but I would like to inform, in advance, that in February of 2005 we will be promoting the next tournament and we count on the participating of all" declared Mr. Pedro Paulo. |

| The participation of UNESCO in the tournament deserved special attention. Participating with two teams in the two editions of the tournament, UNESCO left their mark. The cheeriness and the union of them all was constant and the energy of their supporters led the teams to dispute the two matches in the finals, conquering the second place and showing absolute capacity to be champions. THE GUIDE talked to Mr. Ary Mergulhão, from UNESCO. For Mr. Mergulhão the event was a great opportunity to co fraternize. "This is the second time we participate of the tournament and UNESCO will always be present at the events of ASDIBRA. Our participation is institutional with all the support of our Ambassador Mr. Jorge Werthein. We are here with two teams and we only regret that other Embassies couldn't participate because of the holiday. And we congratulate ASDIBRA for the organization of the tournament". |

| Almost a tradition, the Embassy of Russia was at the event, teams and crowd. All extremely motivated to take the trophee (or maybe two, like the last time) back home. The Russians have always given great support to the events of ASDIBRA and contribute enormously to the goals: the co fraternization. Well humored and determined played with excellent technique and also gave space to the new generation of players. Counselor Vladimir Tokmakov took his son Konstantin Tokmakov and his daughter Ekaterina Tokmakov to play. Although they couldn't make it to the finals the daughter of the Counselor received the medal of champion for being the youngest player of the tournament. The trophee was once again well deserved by this group which always demonstrates team spirit, unity and co fraternization towards the members of other Embassies and international organizations. |
